Hey all,
Thought I'd pass on a good book I'm currently reading. It's called Going Home. I was watching Southernprepper1's channel and he was raving about it so I downloaded it from Amazon. It's basically about a guy on the way home from a business trip when there is an EMP burst or a CME (coronal mass ejection), we never know which one, and it's lights out. No electricity, no electronics, no cars, trains, planes... The story is about his journey home on foot (250 kms) with the bug out bag that he had in his car. I'm about a third in and I have to agree with Southernprepper1 that once you start you can't put it down. It's written by A. American 'Angry American' who I believe is somehow related to SurvivalistBoard.com If prepping is your interest, I'm sure you will enjoy this book.
Just FYI ... Angeryamerican is a member on the survivalistboards.com (note - there is an s at the end of board). He has been since 2009 and has many posts there (in other words, he is an active participant), but, I don't think he is 'associated' with the board officially. Kev owns the board. It is possible though that reading and participating on that board helped him to round out what he needed to write his book. It is definitely a good sounding board and full of 'ideas', questions/answers, discussions, etc. put forward by many, many people living in many places around the world (though predominantly in the US). For those of you who have not heard of that forum before, it is a very good (and active) one so you might want to take a stroll over there sometime. I have been a member for years myself.
