I got 3 of the panels for 70% off, these I hooked up in series to trickle charge my 800 W power pack. When you can get these things on the cheap, then they are ALMOST worth what you pay for them.

Glad you are feeling better now Analog Man. 😀 If you wait long enough just about everything goes on sale at Canadian Tire. I would not pay $399 for them for sure. I already have some full size panels 235 watt for my 24 volt system. The Canadian Tire panels are for experimentation and playing with.

Ok, forget the cost/poor value. By spending you money at Ctire on these type of products, your not spending it with a more honest Distributor/ importer, Someone who can actually answer questions. Questions like what wattage will I get using a 24 volt panel on a 12 volt battery!
And with the money spent at C tire on this it just encourages them to package more junk at inflated prices, and what do you thnk there opion is of their customer base when they can pedal this stuff?
I get my pots, or a lawnmwer at C tire, never alternative energy products.

Ok, just seen your post above, you have real panels? So you would have seen the difference in quallity, and performance, but you still spent your money on this product....I dont get..

There is a certainly a difference in performance between the CT panels and my Sharp panels. As always you get what you pay for. Location is a factor, I would have had to order and ship vs. a 30 minute drive. They are only for experimentation so I did not care about the quality. I use dealers for my house system and of course for the MicroFit system I am working on putting in.

As I have said, mine was 70% off, as is most of the stuff that I get there. These days, if its not at least 60% off I wont look at anything. As I see it, a second or third rate system is better than no system at all, especially when you can't afford them.
