I have said it once and i will say it again you are the best Carbon04! this is an 86 it has pw pdl and a bunch of other stuff i dont need but it is in reasonable shape and is a true solid axle 4x4. I have one now but it is a heap that was aplow truck for some farmer. i had to patch the frame on that one. i will strip it and save the parts for this one. As for Ranger2012 I would prefer Diesel but i dont know much about them. i can fix any gas engin so i will stick with that plus i have a literal ton of gas so im good that way. plus this is cheap, cant beat cheap!

Hello All,
I would like to ask your opinion on BOVs. I recently sold my car and will be moving out of the city in the coming months. (Yay woods!) When I do finally move, I will be in the market for a new vehicle which I would like to be an off-road-capable SUV. I will be living in the Snow Belt and driving unpaved roads.
Following criteria for my situation:
I have to be able to fit 6/7 (Big family)
Must be AWD/4WD
As fuel efficient as possible
6 cylinder (V8s are too big and too fuel hungry for today's economy)
Have extra space for cargo
Cost ~$17k
Used but in VG-Ex cond.,
Available to pick up in Southern Ontario
(Trailer hitch & roof rack bonus)
I have been searching around and am musing abouth the following models: Honda Pilot, GMC Acadia, Mitubishi Outlander, Jeep Commander, Nissan Pathfinder.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Thank you 🙂
One thing you might want to add to your list Metaprepper. Wheelbase, the longer it is, the more stable it is on unpaved roads. The shorter the wheelbase, the better the ground clearance for offroad.
Those who are unwilling to defend freedom, will become unfree.
Thank you tazweiss, I will keep that in mind. Regards.
I will be picking up the truck around the 30th of this month so i will get some videos up soon after and post links or a way for you guys to take a look. been busy working on my cabin and working as of late but its all coming together!
