Yellow pages has a Radio section its best to call the people who sell them is the best answer,if you going to install in your home you need a 12v to 120v inverter and they arnt cheap.thats the safest way.

I bought my Realistic 40 channel base at a garage sale for $10.
I also bought a brand new Cobra for the car at a flea market for $35.
You can try Kijiji or Craig's List for your area...I see them there all the time!
You can use a CB made for the car in your home...a transformer will do the trick.
Just check the amperage on the CB and get a transformer that is rated slightly higher.
Most wall wart types are fairly low amps, but they can be found for about $60.00 that will handle 10 amps.
Another thing you have to consider, is the antenna.
The typical antenna that has a mag mount for your car roof will not work if you just set it on a table...it needs a ground plane (such as the metal body of a car) to work.
Here is the one that I built (not my video, but I may do one some day soon)
