Has one done any pasta recipes in the crock pot that does not call for cooking something first? I have been trying to convert some of my " regular" recipes to use in a crock pot and I am not having much luck. Most of what I have found on line you have to cook the meat first in a skillet or cook the pasta first. Thanks

I have done pasta "casserole" in the crockpot...it turned out ok...but I can't remember which book I got the recipe out of .
Try here though... http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/ she has an amazing amount of tested recipes and there's probably a reliable one there

This may have been the one I used...you just rinse your dry pasta first... http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2008/03/crockpot-baked-ziti-recipe.html

Thank you very much. The last link is basically a match to what I wanted to make. I am hoping to put together a few one pot recipes. I have several slow cooker recipe book but all the recipes call for cooking the pasta first.

--I wonder if soaking the pasta first (rehydrating a bit) would help. You will need extra water in the recipe, so the pasta would completely cook though.

--We make lazy cabbage rolls in the s.c. and don't pre cook the meat.
