So is there a secret password when we get to the campground?
We plan on leaving in the morning to get there before lunch on Friday.
No secret password required. The reservations were made in my real name. For those who will be participating in the camping part and wish to set up camp before Saturday evening (after the meet) can PM me for this info.
Does anyone have a wish list of things that they are looking to barter for?
While I'm open to most things, anything food related interests me..canning products, jams and jellies, jars, lids, seeds, old fashion cookbooks etc.
I live in Southern Ontario (London) area. Looking forward to attending.
I will have my grandson(11yo) with me. You can never start them to early.
hello salt an pepper, looking forward to having you and your grandson join us at the event and for the overall weekend plans, if you are planning on coming out to the camping site as well

Just for the day, we have accommodations at a B&B for Friday night, hope to be early enough for coffee in the morning.
We may do some "recon" at the park prior to Saturday, but that depends on our arrival on Friday.
Looking forward to the meet.
Looking forward to meeting you and your grandson as well.

I'm always looking for mylar bags/o2 absorbers/buckets with lids.
I am trying to think of barter things to bring as well. The things I do, I'm sure others at the meet do it too, and probably better. As as "beginner" prepper, almost everything thing I have, or I make, is for my preps. Maybe that sounds selfish, but I can't think of much, of which I have "extra" or that I make in quantity, which would also be in demand now (I have lots that might be in demand by the general public after SHTF, though).
Maybe handmade soap, mustard or some spicy jelly?
I am learning about herbal remedies but some need time to develop, and might not be ready in time...

What size mylar bags?
If anyone wants to batter for scarves or dish cloths send me a pm. I won't try to get any made if there is no interest.
hi guys
Great to see folks looking at what they are wanting to bring to the barter table, I encourage everyone to think outside the box on this one..
Go to a second hand shop and take a wonder around..
Just a few things I saw in my last "church" basement walk though..
Fermenting glass one gallon jugs to make fermented drinks.
A metal setup that could be used to heat food or water with a tea light or over a small fire or flame
different sizes of camo rubber boots barely worn as they were in kids sizes ( on sale for 2 dollars, they were high end hunting boots, 50 to 70 dollar range)
A great backpack
A wool blanket
a number of travel mugs
a couple older heavier thermo's
A small lantern for outside that holds a tea light safely
a leather pair with fake sheepskin of barely worn winter slippers
As long as its cleaned up and in good shape, its not required that the barter table items are new.. hit the local garage sale, the local second shop, the dollar store etc.
And if all else, fresh baking is good but do smaller portions for ease of bartering..
