Yup, 1 p.m. at the timmies mud st. and centennial pwky.

I will bring:

My Ruger 10/22
My Ruger Mini 14
And the SKS (got those fire sights on them just now that JAB has on his and I want to try it)

And extra bullets for people who aren't bringing/don't have guns

Oh, and I got one heck of an idea for the next gathering I'd like to bring up while we are there and see what everyone thinks..

Hi all... thanks for all the replies. It should be a good meet. Always glad to see new faces. I'm eager to hear your ideas Rdneck. To clarify... we will meet at 11 AM at the Tim Hortons at the corner of Mud Street and Upper Centennial. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. I'll bring my sks and my 10-22 plus lots of ammo. If anyone has a spotting scope that would be great.

JAB

11 a.m. - i should be there on time but the night before will be a bit of a late night for me, so if I'm 10 minutes late please wait up? In case the alarm doesn't go off. Or it goes off 11 times

So .. did it change from 1pm to 11am? No one was there at 1pm. I even checked at Silverdale and didn't see anyone. 🙁

The weather never is so bad when you are at the range because the shooting gallery is covered.

I brought this up with Just a Bear and he liked the idea, but how about this:

We trek into the woods. Those of us with .22's and small game hunting licenses (me and Just a Bear, anyone else?) go out and bag some squirrels and/or rabbits. The rest build a fire and make a sight. We come back and skin and eat said small animals, good practice for getting meat in the wilderness.

Any takers?

I would find a live dressing very informative and would be totally down to set up a site.

Hi Carpenter, Welcome to the group.

Redneck - love the idea - would like to see how the skinning process is done.
Don't have a small game hunting license though ( never got to go hunting - did however take a hunting course years ago)

I have checked with the LDS Storage Centre and they are offline at the moment,
they have their canning machines in for maintenance and don't know if they will be back up until the new year

They are hoping to have more days open per week than just tuesdays and saturdays, but we will have to wait until the new year to be able to book a visit.
