Hey MM... again sorry for the confusion. Looking forward to the next meet. I love Redneck's idea and believe we should follow through with it. I will ask Redneck if he has any suggestions where we can do this?
Squirrel is closed as of Dec 15th. Rabbit and hare is open till at least Feb. I guess rabbit will be on the menu if we get luck..LOL

This might be a good thing because likely we'll be 'going hungry', another good experience.

Never "going hungry"... that would mean we weren't "prepared"...LOL... Always a backup plan. 😆

Hey, what does the small games rules say about things like small birds, snakes, etc.?

These should answer most of the hunting in Ontario reg questions. You can usually pick up hard copies at most stores that sell hunting equipment. I usually carry copies of both the hunting and fishing regs when I out doing these activities. Never know when you will have to educate your local LEO. 😀
Just started to get applicants from places that I called last year for the July meet. Some of the public places now require proof of 2 million liability insurance before reserving a spot.

Thats crazy. Fortunately there are options to that kind of place. We've found a couple of spots that serve quite well although there is no overhead cover. Nice spot by the river ...LOL... Hope all is well with you...
In line with Redneckpreppers idea I am going to expand on it a touch. I am setting up an overnight event where the objective is to test out the contents of your bugout bag. Sleep outside with either a tarp or tent for overhead cover. Water will be purified by the system you have in your bag. For those who don't have specific equipment but would like to partake I am sure alternate means can be worked out through sharing of equipment etc. The only thing that we can't change is that sleeping will be outside as described. It will take place at a Conservation area so unfortunately no hunting will be allowed but there should be fishing. There will be a fee for the site. Costs will depend on numbers but it won't be horrendous. Interest?
JAB
i'm interested. lets make this happen soon.
anyone interested in meeting before the new year? I'm new and would love to meet some preppers.
