Yes it was very good. Lots new and familiar faces 🙂 thanks everyone. Let's do the next one no later then a month from now? Doable? I like the out doors, much less guarded then a crowded room of strangers.

Yup, agreed. I mentioned to JaB that the Swiss Chalet sucked because it was noisy and of course the general public or 'sheeple' don't take kindly to prepper talk, and this location we were at worked really well. No one was afraid to speak up and speak their mind because no one was really listening in and we were pretty much our own group out there.

That one place out in Ancaster we went to last year by the river was pretty cool too.

Shall we have the next event at one of those two places, weather permitting?

And thanks to Jspidey for bringing your supplies. Your preps and times for bugging out are really impressive!

It's better to prep for something that may never happen than not prep for something that does.

Hi all, I am new to the site and looking to find some local Hamiltonians to work with. My wife and I are avid preppers and canners. We have 3 kids and have come to realize that we need to start making some connections and friendships. I am an ex-security specialist and protection officer and have held my Level c first aid with AED for years. I have hunting and firearms training. Would love to meet for coffee and chat or participate in any group meetings.

I'm also in the Hamilton area. I haven't been prepping for long. Mostly acquiring books in PDF on survival building, wild foods etc. Good to know that others are like minded. PM or email me for get together.

Same here. I think now more then ever those of us who want to weather the troubles coming must start and find other like minded people to work together. Look at what is happening right now in the Philippines. The victims of the typhoon are being looted. I do not want my family to face these problems or anyone else if I can help them.

Hi, I'm new here too. New to Hamilton as well, we just moved from rural southern Ontario. I'm interested in any get togethers that happen. I'm a single mum of 2 with some basic camping and homesteading skills. Very happy to learn more and teach what I know (sewing, cooking, canning and preserving, etc).

Welcome teejay. Glad you could join the group. I don't know of any meet/greets yet. I log on every day, but most of the threads seem to be very old.

We usually just post on here a date, time and location. That way those that choose not to post may just show up.

Is this Sunday too soon, say at 1:00? But I have no idea on what would be a quiet location. It has been a long time since I have been out on a weekend.
