Saturday I'll be at the James St N studio vending at their holiday craft fair so I won't be able to make it to meet up. The holidays are just a bit crazy for me with shows, kids and family. I have time after New Year's, sorry to miss out right now. You're welcome to visit me at the sale though, I'll be the one selling weird monsters made out of felted wool sweaters 😀 .
I'll drop buy and introduce myself. I've some shopping at the square to do.
Okey doke, my name is Joy :).
I've just gotten the go ahead for tomorrow, Friday, at the Farmer's Market for the first time too. I'll have an art cart of monsters on the main floor off York Street, if anybody is nearby come over and say hello.
For those who haven't been to the market in Jackson Square yet, I love it. There is anti-biotic and hormone free beef, pork and chicken. Butram's sells veggies grown "without spray" which is as good as organic IMO so long as the seed was GMO free. There's a really great artisan baker, De La Terre, and 2 places with excellent coffee.
We're new to Hamilton but that place has made me feel right at home.

Wow, good for you. How late will you be at the Market?

I'll see you at the market today.
Thanks Oldschool :).
See you today then Blake.
I'll be there a bit later than the market opens, maybe 9-9:30 and I'll stay until 4 or 5 depending on how the day goes.
I have to remember to bring a lunch! I often forget that then wonder why I'm falling down dizzy by 2 o'clock, lol. I'm so used to being tethered to the kitchen, Ha!
I'm at the market now, have been moved to across from Redhill coffee is anybody is stopping by 🙂

I was there around 10. I didn't see any one around. I'll drop by the art show tomorrow after 11.

where is the show?
If it wasn't for the pile of snow we are getting tomorrow, I would be heading to Hamilton 🙂
Mama, what about your son that likes plants? We could in the spring do a met geared towards planting. 🙂
Sounds like a plan to me! We are currently looking at some permaculture practices! It has been a struggle to keep him interested in the containers this year (he says they are boring) and the fact that our space is "limited" (I share a yard) but fingers crossed we can begin doing some new things this year 🙂 we have connected with some in the community as well to learn new things. It has been fun. I am hoping to actually work out a deal with a local farmer to use some land this summer so I can do a large garden and not just containers!
For meetings, it is hit and miss depending on the weekends. My youngest has respite either Sat or Sun depending on the weekend. I know a few weeks in advance usually.
Coffee, lunch, at a park... whatever works, I can try to make it out!
Sorry to have missed anybody who was at the market today, there was an event in the spot I was to be in so a bit of a snafu followed by setting up elsewhere. I was across from Redhill coffee until 4:30. It was a bit slow but fun anyhow :).
The show tomorrow is at 328 James St N. from 11-6. http://jamesnorthartcollective.com/
If I have any stock left I'll be at the market again Sat Dec 21 from 10-ish to 4-ish.
If there's a meet up planned over the holidays I'll try my best to make it, we're back and forth with family until the New Year so there are pockets of time.
Looking forward to meeting some of you soon!

I haven't been to that place but now I have a reason too
I'm not sure how they'll be set up for the show but usually they have a beautiful collection of art there, lots of members and various mediums. It's really inspiring.
Tosay I saw a wagjag deal for a wild edible walk in June. That's a long way off from now but the deal's only available for one more day. I've been trying to get our old scout master to take us on one for ages but he's always too busy so I'm signing up for this one. If you're interested it's usually $100, on sale for $20.

I really enjoy foraging but so far it's just been for fun, I'd like to learn how to make a meal out of wild edibles.
Careful driving this morning 🙂
I didn't make it down there today. If you can give me another time before the 19th.

This sounds amazing! I am all for it! 🙂 I would love to learn more about it for sure!
