My wife and I are re-building our supplies to account for our new baby and looking for info on what to get and where. Any good deals and must have item ideas would be helpful. Also looking to make some connections with other families and talk about how to balance family life and prepping.
A few quick suggestions.
Cloth diapers with inserts - we have 3 in our BOB with 6 inserts per child under 3
If you breastfeed it makes a huge difference in your supplies and BOB and its better for your kids.
When you visit your pediatrician you can get some free samples ..try to get the tylonal for infants keep a supply of that.
If you breastfeed , remember that what you eat your child eats, so if they puke up a lot that means it does not like something you are eating.
You will have to do a elimination diet first to figure out what you will have to cut out for the first 6 months min....(how long before you can introduce solids)
Our 3 yearold has a mini BOB with clothes, food and some medicine.
With a family you will need to keep your kids off the ground in many instances until they are old enough , so a hammock is good to pack..
sry getting off of topic now.
anyhoo I will post more
Thanks for the info threestorms. We are looking into cloth diapers for the baby and she is on solid food just like the rest of us as she will be a year in Dec. We are putting together new BOB's for everyone as the 2 oldest have grown and are older. If anyone knows a good place in Hamilton for cloth diapers I would appreciate the info.

I haven't dealt with prepping with a new baby as my step-kids were 7 when they came into my life. Most of the people that I know that prep, its their life style. The kids didn't know anything different except for when they went to friends homes.
Are you talking about "giving up" things to buy "prepping stuff"?
