Hey all, Last night I decided to try a batch of hard apple cider, it looked fairly easy... which it was and I was wondering if anyone else has attempted this or not?

I used a 1 gallon jug, 4 litres of pure apple cider, a little extra sugar to bring the alcohol level up to 7% ( i hope) and yeast of course...

any thoughts or suggestions from anyone that has tried it would be great, as it is my first attempt! 😀

Freeze it and pour out the alkool, and you have Apple Jack.

Funny that you mention that... Since when lookin up recipes I came accross that too! heard it may be illegal then... however if I "accidently freeze it" somehow... 😆

Yeast needs at least a month to ferment properly. For Hard Cider, I would even go as long as 90 days before drinking (and do not drink it through a straw or you will be on your @ss lol )
I have lemoncello brewing in a gallon jug right now... sooo tempting, I love that stuff lol
