Are we still on for tomorrow? It going to be cold and wet by the afternoon 17*C, just cold and cloudy in the morning 12*C, so the lying weatherpeople say. does anyone have a dinning tent that they can bring?

I am still planning on it. The shelter is on the opposite side of the park.

Park rule nothing in the ground. I had put on the permit request that I was going to bring tarps & poles incase it rained. She said that poles in the ground are a no no but something that sits on top is ok

would it be better to meet at the rain shelter to start? or maybe even stay there, even if it does not rain the wind at 30k /hour will be bad. IMHO
what do you think Old School?

Hello
I just went to the park. The shelter has 4 picnic tables under it. There is a kids playset next to it and a set of washrooms close by. There is a fair distance between the shelter and area 3. With gear, it would mean driving to move the items. There were half a dozen cars in the parking lot near the shelter when I was there. Most of the cars were empty, 1 had a person reading. There was also a guy walking his dogs.

Your call in this. I have no clue which would be better.

I suggest we play it by ear.. see what the weather actually is and how the lay of the land is so to speak. We are nothing if not adaptable. After all that is a big part of what prepping is all about... I WOULD ASK EVERYONE TO BRING THEIR OWN MUG FOR HOT DRINKS. Looking forward to meeting everyone and getting this ball rolling in the right direction.

How did it go?? With the time difference between East and West, your meet should be roaring right now. Hope it was a great day for networking!!
