Looking for some help for a few children that are located in northern Ontario near the Nunavit boarder. They would like to be a part of Boy Scouts, learning the art of camping/bush craft. They are in need of just about everything for camping. The person that is organizing the collection of supplies is from the Ottawa area. Since I will be going to Ottawa the weekend after the Survivalist Expo, could just drop the items off to him.
If you have anything that you can donate, please PM me to arrange pick up/delivery. There will also be a donation box at the Survivalist Expo at the Canadian Preppers Network booth.
Just a few of the items needed are:
first aid kits or supplies to make their own
sleeping bags
back packs
flash lights
pots
cording
tents
tarps
As the person that is working on this said: "They are starting with nothing. I just bought 50 ferro rods for them but I will take what ever I can get my hands on for these kids. I will be driving the gear up that is donated at the end of August."
I also asked if he could take a picture of the gear with the kids for us to post on the board to let people see just how much they have helped.
Yes indeed...when oldschool asked if she could put a donation box at the CPN booth at the Survival Expo, I eagerly agreed. Scouting is a great way to introduce young people to the great outdoors and teach them some basic skills.
Please, please bring whatever you can!
