So I don't know if anyone noticed but there's a bit of a scarcity of cheap .223/5.56 and .22lr
Some of that has to do with a huge buy up in the states (so I'm told), some of that has to do with the last exporter of the overseas stuff stopping it's exporting service.
I found some Norinco 5.56 military FMJ's in the spam cans at http://www.bullseyelondon.com/norinco-5-56-nato-223-rem-55gr-fmj-case-560-rounds.html
He says once that skid is gone it's gone and I believe it. As of yesterday there were double that in stock.
Also, I found the staff at the store very friendly and knowledgeable and they'll help you find what you need no problem.
FYI if anyone is interested.
Now, if end times come and someone is going to shoot me with the .223 they got at Bulls Eye for cheap, please remember I helped you get it and don't shoot me ok?
thanks or the link
Not bad of a price , and I have never been to that site before
cheers
Was just there on Sunday picked up 1 ar mag and 1 sks mag and 80 rounds of Norinco 556.
Friendly place going back soon to get the last of the 556 😈

Sounds about right...there was a couple in the store looking at ARs I think and 2 other guys that where together.
Yea that was probably us if you saw a little girl with us.
It's too bad that store is so far away from us. Its a small store but I liked it and I liked the employees there. Definitely going back next time I'm out London way.
I'm in Windsor and I buy a lot of ammo there. Bought a couple guns there as well.Great store. I haven't found .223 or 5.56 or .22LR to be scarce at all. Bullseye is the cheapes I've found however for 5.56
I don't buy Norinco ammo if I can access Lake City, PMC and Hornady.

The ammosource.com seems to have a good selection.

sure but what are you paying for it. I can buy all the high quality .223 I want for my AR and Mini 14 if I want to fork out the bucks. The surplus stuff from bullseye was manufactured in '92 and is reloadable brass! Shot some yesterday zeroing in my scope on my Mini14. It was shooting 1.25-2" groups at 100yrds. No issues whatsoever, and its non corrosive!
yes .....very good point.
I have been reading about an extreme scarcity of 22 ammo in the USA for a year now. People are getting freaked out and buying everything up.
Bearscott, it's getting better. Independent gun shops usually have 22 ammo in stock at reasonable price. Chain stores still can't keep it on the shelves long though. People are just hoarding it.
Was just at Gobbles and Bulls eye today no 556 Chinese at both. (London)
Bulls eyes said a crate coming in Monday or Tuesday and that's it...what does that's it mean?
Not greedy so I will call them Monday and see if I can get just 100 rounds for the range next week.
Got 1 can saved just to play with at the range this year. Not spending big bucks on ammo just to hit paper and steel .

You are just looking at the holes in paper targets and not seeing the terminal ballistics of the rounds involved. I won't even get into the misnomer of groups and actual combat accuracy at this point as that is a can of worms for another day. For the most part I am using the same ammo I used when I was in The Army. As far as reloading goes, I really don't have time for that. I barely have time to get a couple hundred rounds down range each week. The price I pay for the M855 is about $0.52/rd right now. The Hornady 75gr HPBT and 77gr OTM are about $0.95-$1.10/rd.
