"Are you prepared for a disaster? If the end of the world was upon us, would your family be able to survive? Meet people preparing for Doomsday. Are they just paranoid or do they know something the rest us don't?"
right on thanks for the post, will check it out as well.
Never underestimate the power of free! If someone has deemed something valueless, yet U see value in it; Then you've already made a profit and savings!
The PVR is set, but I have to fight for the TV against a 2 and 3 year old over Disney JR.
Hmmm, maybe an early breakfast and get them outside earlier!
If anyone has a youtube account can you upload it? No tv here.

we don't watch tv either...have a 60" one that we watch dvd's/netflix on..lol
no tv, not interested.
It is a repeat of one that was shown in February. My mom is a big fan of Anderson so I actually watched part of this show. I don't remember much of it accept the "arm" and the idea of "prepping" I googled prepping right after the show to find out more since I found the idea close to what I was already doing. That's when I found this place. I wonder how many others joined in February as a result of seeing that show.
Will watch it again
while i really don't care much about the program, what is said will make a difference (to a degree) about how preppers are viewed. there has always been a negative light on preppers for the right or wrong reasons, but the guys that "represent us" on TV are the ones castings the shadow that we must live with. shows that make us look like nuts, or criminals are the ones we have to defend or hide against.
even in the US, where preppers have almost become main stream, still have some in government saying they are terrorists or negative influences on society. of course those that prep by having endless guns and enough ammo to supply small countries are the problem, not the balanced family based preppers.
in the end, the bad publicity hurts us all.
i'll be working in a place with cable today lol, i just don't know what time the show is on.

the show sucked, really didn't talk about anything important in detail, but at least it didn't make them look too nutty. not that some of them aren't. the one guy shot himself trying to teach his kids to shoot, and if it wasn't for the camera crew he would of been screwed. . . he had some other good ideas though, but shit. . .

Any time that a TV personality encourages people to put together an emergency kit it is a step in the right direction.

Doomsday preppers had a guy shoot himself in the thumb and then passed out. We had a guy get his arm crushed to 1/8th of an inch in a closed mold and didn't pass out. I guess showmanship is his deal.
I guess I didnt miss much from the AC show.
