Just a note to say strawberries and raspberries are really early this year.
Talking to a farmer yesterday, pick your own strawberries have been ready for a week. He also said they might only last another week. He also noted the raspberries are early too, maybe in 2 weeks.
Going picking today so thought I would share 🙂
My first year growing strawberries, as of 2 days ago they were almost ready, starting to turn red, went to take a peek yesterday and they are all gone, damn rabbits!
Did you know that a baby rabbit can somehow fit through the holes in chicken wire?
Friken things....they took all my broccoli and cauliflour twice! Now my berries....Were going to war this wknd!!!
So sorry. My grandfather used to bury the chicken wire a foot down so they would not get under the wire.
We got our berries today, will most likely grab more on Monday or Tuesday! Jam galore lol
