National Geographic is enjoying high ratings for 'Doomsday Preppers'.
"The program has been a ratings bonanza, with a 60-percent male audience, with an average age of 44." [Bellingham Herald]
"Doomsday Preppers is the network's most-watched series",[USA Today]
Brooklyn Bagwell, casting director for the second season, claimed "It’s the highest-rated show” in the history of the National Geographic Channel.[Daily Planet]
It's a ratings success because it's not too dry and technical. Like reality television, it's voyeuristic entertainment, not a 'how-to' guide.
