I am looking for a few more volunteers to help with the meet in Huntsville. When ICRCC and I went to see the hall we spoke to a woman from Transition Huntsville. https://sites.google.com/site/transitionhuntsvilleont/
She seemed very excited and wanted to promote it with Transition Huntsville.

This means that there may be people attending that are just new to the idea and need help with the basics. I am looking for a few volunteers to set up and look after the following tables for the basics on:
- BOB or get home from work bag
- 72 hour emergency kit
- car kit & first aid kit

At the moment I have all 3 set up side by side in the lower hall. That means if one person would like to do all 3, that should work.

Attached is how I have figured the lower hall set up. Which I am sure will change as there is more room and I am still waiting for several more people to answer.

Cheers

At this point we do not know how many vendor tables will be required. There will be a substantial round table discussion area at the end of the hall furthest from the kitchen. As each table only seats 4 per side this will require some reworking and rearrangement of tables going across the hall not just around the sides. A much larger area will be need for the snack area also.

At this point we would like to know how many of OUR members require a table for purposes of vending or to make a display. When we have those numbers we will make the same off to other groups that are attending. Some tables will also be required for businesses to display what they offer.

We will need volunteers for registration etc. So if you would like to help out in any way for an hour or two please let Oldschool, Denob or me know. The updated floor plan will be posted shortly.

That is a lot of Tables for ONE person !

At the moment there are 11 tables that I personally plan on setting up. Our lovely Anita has offered go help with the food storage type tables.

We have a sponsor table, several "company" tables that will be "manned" by the companies involved.

I am hoping that a few of you that are attending will be able to share some of your knowledge with those that have never prepped and really have no clue what it is or how to start.

We are also working towards a data or information sharing table. All information shared here can not have a copy right. If you have information / data / handouts that are not copy righted, we could use some help here as well.

Cheers

As ICRCC said, the floor plan that I posted I removed as suggested as it was only a rough draft. Still working on the lay out. 🙂

No Guaranties, but I might be there with what ever I can bring with me. Most likely be sleeping in my van, as I no longer own a tent. When do you start to set up?

What did you have in mind?
Personally, I would love some info...not to mention a demonstration, but that may not be possible.

My last attempt at a gasifier was a dismal failure. 🙁

The gasifier did operate but it would not run a generator that I had hooked up to it. I need to do more experimentation but I just have not been able to find the time.

I will be bringing some Calcium Chloride and Activated Charcoal to the meet to sell. This is for a Sand & Charcoal Bio Water Filter Systems.
