Candles! Home Hardware has 18 packs of emergency candles on for $6.97 and 36hr candles (the 3 wicks in a can type) for the same price. At least the Dundas East store in London did.

Sounds like a good price but... may be cheaper to make your own? Don't buy wax at your local department store though, look online and you can purchase in bulk at a fraction of the price. Same for wicks. Could be a fun project and very inexpensive. Nice way to kill a few winter evenings?

So far this week...meaning today...dehydrated 5 trays of mushrooms. Currently dehydrating diced potatoes for future use in soups and so forth. Ordered up a third 50 lb bag of potatoes from a LOCAL farmer for just $15.00...delivered to my door. GREAT deal!

Wow it seems like my posts may actually be working finally.

Re-doing all the storage in the house, not much in food preps as I ran out of storage space.

Ordered a Grohmann #3 Army model. It's a factory 2nd on sale for 1/2 price. I guess they have some handle inprefections... We'll see. I think this one might live in my get home bag.

Speaking of my GHB, I'm currently using a Tactical Tailor Medic bag that I purchased a while ago for work when I was doing street outreach. It's a good bag, but I don't think the configuration is particularly good for a GHB, plus it's a bit to military looking for the role as well. Any recommendations for a replacement? I'm looking for something similar to a lot of the 3-day assualt packs on the market, but less conspicuous, with calmshell opening for the main compartments and a decent organizer panel in the 28l to 40l range... I was looking at some of the pipergear bags, but I can't find many reviews or pics of the interiors. I may just re purpose my EDC bag which is a SOC/Bug Out Gear 3-day pass, but I haven't found a replacement for that I like either 😀 . Maybe a second 3 day pass in black or Coyote brown is in the works...

Dietz Lanterns from Lee Valley. Very good price but like everything else made in China now. But the quality was a lot better than the World Famous ones at Walmart and Canadian Tire.
