Can anyone in the G.T.A. or Ontario suggest where a civilian (non-scientist) might purchase lab chemicals in order to produce insulin from animal pancreases using Banting, Best, and Collip's 1923 formula? That's how it used to be done.

Examples of these chemicals include: 95% ethyl alcohol, 98% concentrated sulphuric acid, sodium hydroxide, and others.

Also, where to get lab equipment in the GTA or Ontario, such as Mandler filters (paper), pH testers, vacuum lines, etc.?

This stuff is all legal. I just don't know where to buy modest quantities. I can find suppliers of commercial quantities but cannot not afford them nor do I need such Brobdingnagian amounts.
