Hey, I think I stick handled that pretty diplomatically. I am ready to be posted as a diplomat to the usa...what could go wrong?

Yep

Give a man a gun, and he can rob a bank. Give a man a bank, and he can rob the world.

...Those twisted up over this are from one group of people who pretend to know things they don't know, and cant know, not wanting their major competitor in the field of pretending to know things they don't know, and cant know, from becoming more established, isnt that right Wayne?

I think that it was Clarence that agreed that it was a curse to know intelligence which others don't. Suffice it to say, that I've said what I have. I'm happy for people to listen and make their own decision. I could say more, but don't want to offend anyone's sensabilities...

None you improvise, one (or more) is luxury.

Everyone just needs to be a sponge and take in the Intel, opinions, hate or whatever and then squeeze out the water that is dirty.

Per many, living in the city may not be an option and people need to be aware of what is around them and how they hope to cope. As I have said, having these folks can be a curse and an opportunity. They are different from the other Mr. Smith crazies, just like an Italian is different from a German or someone from Japan or Mexico. Similar (they love their families, enjoy a good meal...) but also very different (tend to know how to operate a full auto firearm, wire up a fridge with scrap material...),. Nothing political about that, it’s flipping reality. 50 year old Swedish women belonging to the knitting guild are typically not going to show up as a potential suspect after people get mowed down by a vehicle on a city street, other profiles will. Call me crazy! If I want to learn how to build a transformer from scratch, hot wire my house from a hydro pole.... I will ask one of my Christian or Muslim Lebanese friends. They have a ton of Prepper experience!

I have said it before, I have some white trailer trash (nice house and cars but still the proverbial trailer trash mindset) near me who I just know will be an issue. Closet Muslim I personally know is 50 clicks away and is a friend and co-worker.

everyone has a personal opinion and everyone can try and act upon it at election time but for us poor buggers trying to figure out what we need to do, we need to be analytical and simply observe and factor into our plans who and what we will need to work with or around.

I personally think that this is not a political rant we have going on here and it should not be curtailed. We just need to bring it around to specific prepper type concerns and solutions. Do you live near a high crime area, yes or no? ( it can be Asian, white, Muslim and every color or religion )

what is socio economic structure, cultural traits that one can exploit for assistance or consider a threat

Is a Muslim family of 4 with adults being 50, a safer bet to seek assistance from if “I” am footing it across town then some white ANTIFA type? If I am in a suit and look like the establishment, I won’t get as warm a welcome from antifa slug as I would the Muslim, ( who by the way , honors success) I would risk my neck with 50 year old Muslim. Why? I am in that age group and we likely share similar challenges in life. Pretty basic concepts of operating in different environments. If I was able to shed the suit and made myself look grungy, I would seek assistance from ANTIFA slug.

If with the slug, I would bad mouth the "man" and cuss and swear and look angry about being exploited. tell him I can’t smoke a joint offered due to COPD and laugh at it and tell him to keep fighting against the pigs and the rich and ask if he can give me some water so I can get back to my male lover and cats (not accurate!)

you do what you need to do with whoever your stuck with or need to con. It’s no different than getting a cranky generator to turn over.

that's good prepping and in security, the human element is the weakest and everyone should try and learn a few tricks to get them past people or groups blocking the way or perhaps able to provide assistance ( even if you would never spend 10 seconds with them on a normal day) .

You know full well its not non pretenders whos sensabilities cant take a challenge, its allways those holding a pair of twos prettending its a full house that get upset when they are not allowed to claim the pot!

I think most of us take things seriously and come at prepping like life with a wide range of experiences. no one should take any of the back and forth personally
peace out

Yes Clarence, it is what it is whether a person realises it or not.
