I was thinking the 2005 version with Tom Cruise... The aliens catch some sort of virus or bacterial infection which they obviously didn't evolve to handle. Much in the same way that the Calgary Zoo keeps loosing penguins to blood born viruses delivered from mosquitos - There aren't any in Antarctica and the penguins never had the chance to develop a natural resistance.

I seem to remember a similar flick where the aliens didn't do water although I can't remember which one it was. Pretty freaking foolish aliens to attack a planet where over two thirds are covered with a substance which is fatal to your species. Not Hollywood's brightest moment.

p.s. I looked it up. The bad movie was called "Signs".

That's the guy he also said something about working alone with the aliens or seeing them I'm not sure

There are several accounts of how he died. Officially, suicide is stated as the cause of death.

However, prior to his death, he claimed that there were 13 attempts on his life and an attempt to kidnap his daughter (which was unsuccessful due to the brave actions of his ex-wife). I find all of this difficult to swallow. If a secret group wanted him silenced they would have done it on the first try.

I do not place much weight on his claims but I did find the stories an interesting read (and perhaps based on some facts). But all in all it would make a good story line for a conspiracy theory movie. Mel Gibson could play Schneider and Julia Roberts could play his ex-wife.

I didn't know his daughter was almost kid napped but I agree with you if the agency wants you dead there operatives are well trained and they never miss and there not that easy to take down

This reminds me of a art book of Banksy's work entitled, "You Are An Acceptable Level Of Threat And If You Were Not You Would Know About It". Excellent title and great art.
