They show that money was coming in from the US, most people were broke but equipment for violent confrontation was appearing with paid protestors. Seems legit in it's design with interviews from western Ukrainians only as they prepare to take on the government. Interesting video.

I tire of this crap! It was even a decent, less biased portrayal of the common west Ukrainian who was fed up with their present conditions. It therefore more made their actions more believable and how they were getting caught up in a battle while unseen forces at play everywhere. I don't see the harm of it's existence as it somewhat chastised both Super powers for their power schemes.

I wish that the west would show us proof of this resistance(even a little) as all I ever see are them attacking while facing no return fire during any of these events. I see some blown up and burned out vehicles once in a while, likely from clashes with resistance fighters, but no heavy casualties to justify the 2,700 civilians they've successfully killed up to this point. Seems to me the west appears to have pretty much all the war toys and the continued video footage showing a one sided battle. Wonder why they keep saying Russia is at fault as they continue to destroy an already beaten enemy?

note: @1:20, the Red Cross explains that trucks must just unload and leave. After they inspect, Ukraine gov't decides where supplies go....this is what Russia didn't want to have happen. They wanted to make sure their supplies went to those in the east and were led to believe Red Cross would make sure it happened.

I agree, if Ukraine even caught 1 Russian vehicle in Ukraine, NATO would show proof of it to the world. So where is the proof of this partially destroyed convoy? As usual, they show none. Yet this unlikely story gained headlines all over the world anyways. Al Jazeera news is painting the picture from more of a pro EU prospective as this becomes more obvious when comparing first impressions of this report to those acquired from some further simple scrutiny of the wording. (this dissecting of the facts would also suit the Power of Suggestion thread as this is what I do alot there).

Alright, so if this proves to be true, we should be hearing the same message all over the major news agencies as this is exactly what NATO is waiting for to put boots on the ground in Ukraine. Also we should finally see an all out confrontation where someone is shooting back at the Ukraine army with more than bullets and hand held rockets. Then the Ukraine will have some real numbers to show losses on their own sides and maybe justify their occupation somewhat more.

Do you note that this footage only shows a soldier talking but no audience? Do you see that he wears a brand new jacket and simply has a medal pinned on his pocket, yet not even a name tag, rank insignia, unit insignia anywhere? If this man is any kind of representative for the Ukraine army, he would likely qualify for the aforementioned to at least look official for a press conference. Then there should be a legitimate news agency presenting this to back such an important piece of breaking news.

And if he were instead to be representing the pro Russian army and presenting this information to new recruits, why is he talking as if this army is that of another's possession for he refers to them as "they" instead of "we". That and the crest at the beginning states telegraph.co.uk which means United Kingdom.

I can't imagine how he would know that 1,200 men had completed 4 months training in Russia. They would have had to start back in April to have accomplished this feat...seems even less likely a story now. And where is this army presently? Oh ya, likely on the Russian side of the border where again it can't be confirmed...

I'm sorry but this again is total Hearsay evidence and doesn't meet even basic scrutiny to even consider being legitimate!

We can all have good intentions, but have different actions, based on who is feeding us information.

Personally, I don't have a bias for or against Ukraine or Russia, I merely started this topic to discuss how grocery shelves can easily go bare during times of war. We aren't "in the know", so to speak, and we're completely at the mercy of what journalists and reporters can scrounge up, and what the various governments successfully portray. It's not a black and white issue with a good guy and a bad guy, so it's best to simply acknowledge that there's a crisis, and fight for peace, rather than side with Russia or Ukraine. It always takes two to tango, so I'd simply steer clear of pinning the blame on one side or the other.

Starting tonight over on the CPN Blog, "Movie Monday" is playing part 1 of an 8 part series about the rationing and farming restrictions placed on Britans durring WWII.
It's interesting how things got rationed and how farmers were basically forced to increase food production to counter the blockades put in place by the German Uboats.
Keep an eye out for it...it should post about 6PM Pacific time!

Thanks for your input RT.. I therefore can see that you haven't noted the subtle differences between that which I present and that of others. My selections usually contain that which I can prove as "real evidence", using the video prove such an event did likely occur. I point out things such as people's clothing, their situation, background impressions, and author's possible motive to substantiate the authenticity of the video. There are many videos I would like to present but they can't meet these simple requirements and therefore would be poor substitutes. I try explain how I conclude others videos are considered hearsay to remove any doubt. Use this same approach to discredit that which I present and I will re evaluate all evidence as I know there are always things I can miss too.

Much of what is truly occurring is being presented to us as Russian incursion. If that is so, then they should have a feasible motive. So what would that be? Don't accept the "world domination spiel" our side throws at us daily....if anyone,that's really us their mentioning as we continually occupy and destroy other nations! In the meantime, while we debate who's doing what, the shelling and killing continues...here and on the Gaza Strip! It is getting hard not to see this is a one sided battle, but our media tries hard to paint it different so you will still accept their spiels.

That would at least suggest that Ukraine is performing a police action instead of genocide. I still cannot fathom the contempt that those in the west must have towards those in the east Ukraine to allow such atrocities to occur. Remember the mindset at the beginning of this conflict? Where old ladies blocked the advancement of tanks and the soldiers refused to shoot or run them over? How did these same people progress to this state of hatred so fast? Do you not see a comparison here as to how Hitler managed to manipulate a whole nation to accept the annihilation of the Jewish race?

I wish I understood both Russian and Ukraine language to then show their media in the same manner. I'm sure they too are being just as manipulated to view things in their own governments determined perspective. I'm betting that Putin is having an easier time of it though as he doesn't likely have to spread the bull on quite so thick while telling them it's just peanut butter their swallowing!

I do NOT wish there to be a war and it is becoming so obvious that media is being used as a means to get public opinion changed to consider this a viable answer. I want others to note these manipulation tactics so they are less susceptible to their influence. If we have to fight, let it be for a just cause! Our forefathers fought against Hitler's invasion and fascism. What is occurring in Ukraine is a repeat of this, but we somehow miss the point that we are now on the side of occupation for the extraction of resources as at least one obvious objective. Russia is at least trying to help the oppressed, while we are ignoring their pleas as they die daily and are being starved out. The likelihood that this will lead to war is probably UN's second objective as they push far too hard for it not to be so.

Even biblical prophecy predicts that they will awaken the lion and he will come down with great rath! Why do we have to make this prophecy come true? And one shouldn't be fooled by their timidness...Russia has many friends our side often forgets to mention.

So is it your computer that is old and therefore slow or your internet that is slow? I repair computers for my area and note that many have old computers that are so slow at processing, thus you are completely limited as per what you can do on the net. I will fix them old ones too, but feel I have to mention this tidbit of info as I hate taking their money without pointing out the biggest problem first.

But as I mentioned in other threads, those old computers will still run fast on Linux. It's just that you will have to relearn another OS (operating system). The good side is it is stronger , more secure and no viruses! You can watch videos faster and download faster too. Big Brother can knock on your door but will have a much tougher time trying to get in as there are no back doors that the programmer left unlocked. I often suggest to those with these old machines to first buy a $100-$200 Android tablet and get to know it. When they get to the point they rely on it mostly, they already know some of Linux as the tablet was written on Linux coding. Then you convert that old computer to Linux Mint version as it's closest to being like 1/2 way between Windows and Android.

Ah, the country lifestyle does have it's limits here and there. 😕 We are on Satellite download (and phone line 56 K upload) up here in the north and my IP shows this as the signal comes down somewhere near Sudbury usually. For their crappy service, we pay $72 month. Satellite TV is another $130 month on top of that. No frills cellular is $52 month more with all calls long distance being equivalent to the launching costs of the space shuttle..........
