Well once again we had a successful meeting... not as long as the other meetings, but I would assume the cool weather put a damper on that.. one new attendee, tks to scottyre for coming out...
Also A huge thanks to all our members that came out to our first lonely meeting in the parking lot at Bragg creek, and to all that have attended and kept coming out...Everyone can pat themselves on the back for starting and developing a great group...
We have come along way with our group and its members, we have developed solid plans and will continue to do so..
There are some plans in the works for later meetings but nothing in stone yet...stay tuned........

Stay warm and stay prepped......

For those who are following these posts about meetings to build a network of similar minded preppers but are on the fence because of trust issues... may I just suggest.. we are all regular normal people who have been living the same lives as the rest of humanity but with one thing different than them... we have suspicious minds and the ability to see through the bull being fed to us via the media and can see the writing on the wall. Some of us are more hardcore than others but we all have one thing in common... a desire to survive.

Because of that commonality (want to survive) you need to be aware... unless you are ridiculously skilled in the art of war and wilderness survival... you wont make it alone. You wont. I dont want to get into why you wont and if you truly believe you will... take it from me a guy who is pretty skilled but know my limitations. Now, if you want to survive what we all strongly believe is coming... then you need to build a base of people and you have to allow the trust to be part of that. You have to take a leap of faith. For those of you who believe in dieties then this shouldnt be too difficult correct? I am putting my life and the life of my child into the hands of a group of people rather than just me. I cant gaurantee I will be around forever.

So... put your trust in someone. It can mean your life and your families life if S does HTF. If not... you are learning some valuable stuff from others AND developing friendships in the meantime.

Thats my 3 cents. Hope to see some new faces next time around. You gotta take that chance if you want to make it.

No matter how good or bad your life is, wake up each day thankful because someone somewhere else right now is fighting for theirs

Traveller,

Thanks again for ram rodding these meetings and getting them organized.

Maybe over the winter months we can alternate between the Bass Pro Shop in the North and Wholesale Sports in the South????? Maybe hand out business cards to join the International Preppers Network - Alberta Forum and see how many more we could add??? I didn't think, so. 😉

See everyone next month!

Keep your powder dry,

Mountainman.

I am located in Central Eastern Alberta. 1.5 hours east of Red Deer, 5 hours driving distance one way is the maximum I would travel for a meeting.

Hello to all;
I'm also new to the forum. Checked out the site four or five months ago, but did not continue.
I'm also curious about the meetings.
We live in the country and have been prepping for several years now.
I agree with others, people need to make connections now.
Looking forward to meeting others with similar thinking.
