Winter is fast approaching and if you Haven't done it then you need to; Take an inventory of your supplies and get your kits re-packed for winter, make sure you know where everything is, and that you have what you need, or what you can afford to best, best a winter S.H.T.F. situation....
Like I said Just a friendly reminder.......

Stay safe and be prepared;
Better to have it and not need it; than to need it and not have it.......

Better to have it and not need it; then to need it and not have it...

Yup...let the seasonal list be checked!

A few things I need to update on my vehicle:
Contact solution out of glove box, bottles of water out of vehicle and near exit door of residence instead
Bug spray out, windshield de-icer spray in,
Check/add air to the spare another 10 degrees from now
Replace windshield wipers
Put snowshoes in back
Confirm gas line antifreeze is in the bucket
(winter tires on already, washer fluid also)

Where vehicles are concerned, what do others have in their list?

Might is Right is the wrong thing to say but the right thing to understand.

I keep heavier boots and jacket in the back as I don't need them normally when commuting to work each day. I also add extra candles and matches to the get-home bag in the winter as they'll be used for heat, not just light. The chances of getting stranded on the highway is pretty remote with AMA but that's why we prep! 😳

If you have snow pants or a snow suit it would be helpfull and a way to cover the face will help too. Got to keep the whole body warm.
I also have a tow strap to throw in just in case I find the ditch. Also a couple extra large, extra strength garbage bags and something compact to scoop snow with.
An old timer back home hit the ditch many years ago. It was a heavy snow year and when he finally came to a stop the white stuff was half way up all the windows.
In order to get out he had to bail snow into the car to make a trail to crawl through so he could get to the road and walk for help. He had to walk because the car was hidden from view from the road, so no one could have seen him to come help.
When telling the story he always said it would have been good to be able to have had some bags to put the snow in so it was easier to get out of the interior later.
Mind you I'm sure he had to leave the window open so snow probably blew in anyway, but the thought always came to mind. I have a small plastic shovel that comes apart.
We are supposed to have another heavy snow year this winter

Hmmm, maybe I should rethink the quiet part...
