I would like to thank the Alberta preppers that came out to our first meeting....To those that wanted to come but could not, I would like to say it was a great success..
We met and exchanged points of view and discovered we are all sane...lol...and started a great network ....We found out that we are on the same page as far as prepping goes, and that we all have the same thoughts about the world and what may go wrong to cause a bug in or bug out scenario....I will not post names as to who was there. Each member can do that themselves....We have agreed on a second meeting, stay tuned for a ALBERTA PREPPER second meeting thread I will be posting as soon as we have some good dates for as many as we can get to come so pls post the dates in the near future that works for you and we will get our next meeting set up....
Better to have it and not need it; then to need it and not have it...
Thanks Traveller for keeping everyone focused and motivated for this first meet. Imagine, even the weather co-operated. 🙂
Well now we have the first one under our belts. No crazies showed up. Good ideas were exchanged and the same with concerns.
Maybe the next meet can be held near Chestermere?? Sorry, I don't have my work schedule handy, so I will have to get back about possible dates.
Glad to meet all who showed up. I look forward to another meet. Next time lets bring the lawn chairs out of the vehicles or pick a location with picnic tables.
I believe this was a very successful first step at networking - people, skills and ideas.
Mountainman.
Yes, thanks to Traveller for keeping the thread alive.
I agree that a place with lawn chairs or picnic area would be a good idea for next time.
See y'all again next time.
Indeed, thanks Traveller for your efforts! I look forward to being able to help with and attend the next.

One of the things we had discussed was a gasifier instruction manual at the meeting. I finally found the link that was posted in another Thread ...

One of you had been interested in this if I recall.
