First Off for those that came, and could not find us my sincere apologies. The parking lot at Tim's Was grand central station at 12:00 noon so we moved just south to the parking lot by the skateboard park...My self and gc-mountainman did wait until 20 after 12 for stragglers and then proceeded down to the park ..Again My apologies for some of you not being able to find us..
With that said the second meeting was a success and we doubled our meeting ranks, we had great discussions on bug in bug out, mental and physical preparedness,water filtration , Ideas for home heating in the event of long term power loss.. Also food prepping, dehydration and canning..I would like to thank all the preppers that came out and again my apologies for those that drove out and did not find us.....I would ask all that were there and the ones that could not come out, to give us some dates that will work for July.....For our Third meeting....I will start by suggesting July 14/15..
We will definitely not have the same problem as we did this time...This is a learning curve for all of us, Myself Especially; in the planning and organizing of these meetings..I will do a better job for number three, and will post the plan B location, it was a spur of the moment idea, Du to the amount of people at theTims parking lot.....
Again and just my thoughts for a date for # 3, would July 14/15 work for the prepping community....Time and location to follow.......

Well that's depressing! And exciting all at the same time. Here I thought I had missed everyone, and yet the main possy just relocated. To the good friends I made today that made up the second group, thanks for coming out as well! Lets make mtg #3 even better. To Traveller - lets sit down and chat for #3...talk soon.

Thanks for setting this up again. Good job. Maybe we could fly a flag to show off the rally point??? The old yellow and blue CD, civil defence flags from the 50's and 60's??? Rally on the flag!
Sorry to those that did not arrive at the impromptu relocation to the parking lot beside the skate park. We are all new at this. Now that I have been to this location near the skate park, it would have made a great primary location, highly visible from Hwy#22, easy to get to, lots of parking and hardly anyone else there.
I think we are making progress. This thing is really starting to gel!!
The only possible date for me in July will the 27th - which is a Friday. We will be traveling through heading for the West Coast. Sorry, I probably will have to miss meeting #3. I will have a look at the map later when I am at work and edit this post to suggest a location or two that might work.

The 14th and 21st are both free for us. My parents are traveling in from Ontario on the 27th, so I could make it, if necessary; if the group goes with that date.

Here are three possible locations to get the talking started. Perfect sites, hardly.
1) The park beside the lake in Strathmore - between Lakeside Blvd and Centre Ave.
2) The parking lot at the Mormon Church in Gleichen (Hwy#547).
3) The ball diamonds in Langdon (Hwy#797)
Yes these are all East of Cowtown. If these won't work for you please post locations that will work for you.
