I wouldn't get to worked up over her "no firearm policy". Keep reading and posting, keep adding supplies and try to make it to the next meeting.
If you are able to become part of a bug out community, there will be plenty of others with fire power.
By being where you are in the prepping process, you are still far ahead of most of the population.
Hmmm, maybe I should rethink the quiet part...

Get her out and meet our significant others; only a few of us wear tinfoil caps. The rest are only mildly paranoid...I mean, prepared 😳
