Alright, I'm officially delurking. I've tried to get to the last three meetings now but it's just not happening between work and family.
Right now we're in the inner city of Calgary (I know...something we're planning to remedy SOON) with hopes of at least making it to Cochrane in the very near future. We're very new to the whole prepper thing but a truly amazing older couple we are friends with took us aside a few years ago and put a bug in our ear. Just this last year, with us becoming first time parents, our focus is now solidly on making sure our little one is safe- no matter what we have to do to make sure of it. We're stressed, low on sleep and cash and are currently dreading potty training and world economic collapse. Can you tell we're having fun? 🙄

Welcome to the boards Mamabear. Part of our family starting to prep was our four little ones as well, so I know where you are coming from. Doing what it takes to keep our kido's safe is so important! Good luck and look forward to hearing questions as well as input from you guys in the future.
Hi Mamabear, I'm new here too. Prepping for 4 kids under 7 myself!
Mamabear start with the basics, one at a time when they come on sale. I started with a 20 lb bag of rice, and canned salmon/w-tuna that was on sale.

Hi Mamabear! (that is what my 30 year old daughter calls me too...lol) Welcome!!! Please make sure you get proper sleep and keep yourself balanced while doing your prepping or you will just screw up your immune system and get sick and that will be no help to you at all...like they said at the last meeting you need to prep but you still need to "live your life", find joy in it and still carry on with normal everyday things as well. Tin foil is an essential part of any and all bug out bags......LOL........ We are Quite normal, Except for dangphool he is mildly paranoid.......
