Rumors have been around for some time that China was going to back the yuan to gold. No source is sited for this article so I have my doubts but if this is what China's going to do with all the gold its amassed then it'll accelerate the world's migration (which is already underway anyway) from the dollar.

A lot of possibilities. If true, we have to ask - is China under the control of the international bankers?
If yes, then this is approved, and then the question becomes why and what for?
If no, then this is not-approved, and then the question becomes, will the international bankers do something about it, or can they?
if China is going gold - there are two possibilities. One, we may see the demise of the international banksters of the West, replaced by the Chinese overlords who will now govern the Earth with hard assets and manufacturing - for their advantage of course (think British Empire). The other, is that they are still the puppet of the banksters, and this is the next phase in their plot to now begin reaping the benefits of their massive hard currency asset accumulation. They spent the last century printing paper and buying up all which is real - now they are flipping the switch and changing the standard to that which places the highest value on what they possess. That which they possess a lot of.

Interesting points fellas, as this is more or less in my backyard I have been keeping an eye on the on-going disputes in the South China Sea. These disputes over some very resources rich areas that everyone there seems to say that they are the rightful owners and these territories belong to them.
I seriously hope my assumptions are totally wrong - but bear in mind the asian culture of saving face and reading attached article links below and others too numerous to post - I am left to wonder about Australia's role in the Pacific in future events.
Some key facts of interest that may have an influence on the end result;

I'm old, tired and crotchety - what's your excuse???
Somebody is working real hard to ensure there is at least one major conflict on this planet in the coming months.
So far, Israel and Iran have not nuked each other, The Syrians have only killed themselves and pissed off their neighbours and now things are heating up in the Pacific.
Somebody wants to see the old world order come crashing down so a new one can be installed to reign over us all.
Unfortunately, the sheeple are too busy working to pay their rent or mortgage, pay their monthly credit card installment, try to buy fuel for their vehicle to get to work and finally, buy enough food to feed their family. In other words, the sheeple are distracted. And who can blame them. Debt has all but been thrown on them, to buy their every "want".
Excellent food for thought from all of you.
Cheers,
Mountainman.
Look how hard China has been working to open up non-American markets for their exports and imports. They are insulating themselves from a "crashed" America, and they could quicken that crash by dumping US currency/bonds etc.
All,
I am not sure this is relevant, but somewhere I heard that the newly remade movie "Red Dawn" to be released November 2011 never made it the big screen because China was offended that they were typecast as the bad guys in the movie. Hollywood sent the picture back to post-production to have all Chinese insignia changed to North Korea. I have not heard when the movie will be released.
So, if I read between the lines, China does not want to be seen as the world bad guy.
Could just be a bunch of UFI.

china, india and russiahave all been buying large amounts of gold they say ,with china being the biggest purchaser . i think the yankees are going to lose there ass soon .theres nothing backing there dollar anymore. they owe so mutch money , there great great great grandchildren will be still trying to pay it off. and you think there next president is going to be any better than the last four ,huh .
The Chineses were a Empire, long before Christ, and they will not simply implode because some college kids wont buy "plastic vomit & dog shit" anymore.
I do agree that some sort of "protectionism" movement will arise soon...
Americans are getting a gut full, the question is how long before they turn that anger inward?

Yes and when the people get angry and start to fight their government, their government will take them to war to direct their anger elsewhere to kill people who have been tricked by their governments in the very same way.
A revolution against the powers that be needs to happen and needs to remain focused on the right people and not be allowed to be directed by them 👿
Ahhh...but the time is not yet right and will the sheeple actually ever wake up, I doubt it, they will believe their enemies are those that the government points a finger at and they will die fighting those imaginary enemies 🙄
Good Grief!!!!
Those that forgot the past are already repeating it over and over again!

I thought they were North Koreans in the movie. China is far more plausible than NC however.

Very true. There is nothing like a good war to make people forget all the problems they have at home. It has happened so many times in the past and we know it will happen again in the future. The question is how much future do we have left?
