This morning I installed a 15amp 24v - 12v DC to DC inverter in my Pinzgauer for mobile power on the go. I can now turn between 24v to 12v at the click of a switch. Works both power options from US and NATO adaptors to the original hardware without compromising the factory waterproof wiring harness.
I did close my eyes just briefly as I turned the main power switch to on... 😯

On the serious side, with your new found powers, does that mean you are now in a position to install a conservative amount of 12V electronic goodies for comms and navigation, or possibly entertainment??? I believe you will be one of the few comfortable persons after the SHTF or TEOTWAWKI.

Nice work installing the step down converter. You have added another very useful feature to you BOV. There are many 12V devices that can always be used. You might find other uses for it too, are your panels charging a 24v system also?
