Preparedness is like a condom , I've rather have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it

Too much like FB. I set up a dummy acct' and looked it over. I couldn't find anything of any value on it. Great if you want to debate the merits of thiests killing one another in the middle east.... Looks like another forum for marketers to sell specialized groups their wares.

Like beer, everyone likes a different flavor. You may find that older survivalists and preppers use a forum and the younger generation will use a social network. I find value in both. I would love it if people posted more photos on IPN though.

As for politics I guess it pretty much affects us to a degree, doesn't it? If not then I guess there would be no talk on nuclear warfare/FEMA/elections and their impacts etc. Only popular political topics are valid and the reasons for things like war are not? All we need to know is we are going to war and thats that? I am not getting pissy, I just question why some things like the middle east are fopah. To each his own though.

Grav,

While I don't disagree that there is value in discussion of current events and even politics, I find the situation in the middle east so charged and the positions so entrenched that debate is futile. I don't see it as a faux pas to draw or be drawn into these discussions, rather a complete waste of time. At the end of the day a lot of folks are dieing whom I'm sure would rather not and the trite arguments made abroad do nothing to lessen the injury at home.

Google+ has created a new Communities addition to it which is gaining speed ridiculously fast. Rather than hang out on FB like the old days... I have migrated over to G+ instead so that I can be surrounded by intelligence and maturity and actually get feedback from my posts and of course to network my comic book artwork. All that said... a lady created a new community that is surpassing all the other prepper communities and I have joined it, made a few posts and now think it's time to give her community a boost by sharing it with you guys. If you enjoy social media like I do... this is the place... not FB. Check it out and join if you are interested.

No matter how good or bad your life is, wake up each day thankful because someone somewhere else right now is fighting for theirs
