Hi, new to this forum. We are currently building a net zero off grid (that's the goal) home on a rural property in Central Alberta. Have power grid tie in for back up at this time while we work on getting solar batteries. Wondering how many other off grid preppers are around in this area and how did you do it?
Welcome. I cant offer any advice as I have no direct experience with grid tie,or the equipment for it. As I think about it I don't know a single person with a grid tie, only fully off grid types so I will just say,Good luck with your build, maybe someone else has grid tie experience who will comment.

We are looking to go off grid as well . Prepared and would survive grid down situation as is, but hoping to look into alternative power.
