I would like to report another successful meeting for the Calgary area with no less then 60 in Attendents, Also A big thank you to all our speakers, in putting together a very informative presentation....
It will be two years ago next month that I called our first meeting for the Calgary area, and it has been my pleasure working and watching our little 6 person group grow to more then 60 today...
Dangphooll / gc-moutainman and Tuckerblue will be taking over the organization of future events as My wife and I will be moving to B.C.in the fall...
It has been my pleasure in bringing "prepardness awarnesss" to folks in the Calgary area, We will continue to support the group but in a diminished capacity.
Thanks to all that has supported us,and I hope to see the group continuing to grow...
Please remember to also check our site at "meet up" for future events and information along with staying active here and other informative sites..
Again A big Thank you for all those that support our efferts to bring awarness to such an important subject...
Sincerely;
Traveller......

Preparedness is like a condom , I've rather have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it
Traveller: What part of B.C. are you moving to. The west Kootenays are really nice, and fairly affordable.

Hey Duffman,
You missed the very end of the presentations. I encouraged anyone who has a particular topic or skill to share with people to let us know so that we can get you in front of the audience sharing your knowledge.
We are also looking for any ideas for future workshops.
Thanks for your interest!
Ok once we get settled it will be easier to talk more with u

Hi i am looking to meet similar minded people in the Edmonton area.
i was wondering if you could help me network?
Hoss
I've watched the threads for the Edmonton area over the last year and they haven't been able to get any traction. Some missed meetings and miscommunications it appears.
The best bet is to announce a coffee date in an accessible area for people to come together and talk about their concerns or ideas for networking. Keep OpSec in mind and realize that those who prepare for emergencies tend to be mildly paranoid at times 😳
Then, make a second coffee date and hopefully the first group will show up a second time and new faces will also come out. Be sure to post what you talked about and ask if others in the area have ideas on how to do that second "coffee date".
Good luck,
