Typically, I never ride anything that doesn't have an engine. Well that looks like that's going to change.

My wife and kids are avid riders and having 3 horses already, so she said "what is two more"?

Now we all have a horse because my wife feels they are more reliable if we needed to bug out. So this weekend we headed to three ranches and test rode about 24 horses in all, choosing the two best.

Im starting to feel I was conned into this by my wife.... 👿

I don't know much about horses but these look like a very beautiful pair!

They look beautiful...but more important than looks is temperament.
You can't bug out on a hour that throws you 😉

We've got a Clydesdale for transport (not bugging out) after the SHTF if fuel becomes short which I expect.
Still looking at getting a couple more as well.

I think a couple of horses is a good idea as fuel shortages are a very realistic possibility IMO and trying to move around with or without stuff over short or long distances has to be a lot easier with horses.

Good luck with'em 😀

Great temperament on both.

The black horse "Mick Jagger" anyone care ride. Sweet calm disposition. I bit skiddiish when riding him alone but I think that will wane once he settles in to his new surroundings. Previous owner was moving into jumping and Mick didn't fit the bill.

The red horse "Solomon" is a superb horse and thoroughly trained.....by the best. His only problem was his previous owner could not shoot off him, even with plugs. He tried everything to no avail. Reluctantly gave him up to a green broke that had no issues with gun fire.

So far real happy with the pair.
