Yes it does sound interesting . Is it really free, because it sounds too good to be free.
Maybe there is some benefit to them, like some of the other free stuff on the internet .
I am curious to know how many on here will be tuning in to this Survival Summit?
I have registered and am interested to see just how informative it really is. It seems they have acquired many speakers, so many in fact that they have added a 6th day to the lineup.
Who else is logging on to check this out?

It is free, btw. From what I gathered, the organizers want to spread the word and help people.
There are over 29 speakers speaking on everything you might want to know, and maybe didn't even think of. The email stated: property protection and defense, urban vs. rural survival, escaping and evading capture, setting up your own power system, making your own fuels, generating electricity when the grid goes down, how to be self-reliant in your food production, and more.
It also says there will be over 35 hours of video interviews.
Sounds good to me!

You bet I'm in on this...
There have been some questions raised about future marketing, but I believe you can unsubscribe from any mailing list they put you on.
All in all, I think it will be an abundance of info.
Absolutely! It can't hurt to check it out and see what we can learn.
Yes, I had wondered about being on an email list too. But like you said, it's easy to unsubscribe from emails.
Plan for the worst and hope for the best.
Yes I'm in information and knowledge is priceless
Already entrenched in permaculture so I will be checking in for some of it, particularily Paul Wheatan and hope to take the opportunity to brush up on more info on my own weaker aspects and skillsets. Also registered for the World Bank sponsored course - "Turn Down the Heat: Why a 4°C Warmer World Must be Avoided" because I get a wee bit more perspective from each course I have taken on climate change.

registered ... always seeking more knowledge and so much of this seems of interest
Things I say are my opinion, which is like belly buttons everybody has one.
Anything I say is not meant to anger or offend just to encourage discussion between adults.
Honestly folks...go to the site and check the schedule.
I will be watching most if not all of these videos.
The presentations cover some of the most discussed topics here on the forum.
For Example...
Locating The Perfect Survival Retreat or Homestead
Off-The-Grid Food Preservation Techniques For When Your Stove & Freezers Stop Working
Urban Foraging: How To Search A City For All The Food & Medicine You’d Ever Need
How To Fortify Your Home & Property From Looters
Two- And Four-Man Tactics for Repelling Armed Gangs
Trapping Strategies For Harvesting Creeks, Streams, & Woodlands For All The Wild Game You Can Eat
How to Store and Generate Emergency Power for your Home
The list goes on and on.
I could have signed up as an affiliate to promote this and hopefully make a few bucks (the videos will be for sale after the summit), but that's not why I am pushing this.
If you are worried about being spammed later, open up a free gmail or yahoo mail, then trash it when it's done.
The presenters are well known...Paul Wheaton, Marjory Wildcraft, Chase Sanders, Steve Harris...
Go check it out for yourself...I think you'll be impressed!
Most of us work during the week, so how does this work if its online? Do you have to be there when they are presenting? I don't see any 'times' listed for the presentations.
The videos are made available at a certain time every day (you would have to check the website for specifics) and are available for 24 hours. After that, a new set of videos goes up for another 24 hours, and so on.
Once the summit is done, they plan on offering lifetime access to all the videos for sale...price and specifics to be determined.
Day one proved quite informative. Looking at the lineup of what's to come I am very happy to be involved in the Survival Summit.
I was relieved to find that the videos are pre-recorded and were posted in youtube format. This meant I can pause, rewind and re-watch as much as I needed. That helped a lot with my note taking.
It is still possible to sign up for this free information if you haven't yet! Tell your like-minded friends, too!

Is anyone buying the digital package ?
