I would like to thank you for making your property available
to the prepper community. I am surprised to not see more
responses but I am sure you received a few emails.
It is definitely something we will take into consideration.
Unfortunately we will have to work a container into the budget first.

well I just want to say ... good on ya and I hope this all works as these are the kinds of things/groups we really need.

Things I say are my opinion, which is like belly buttons everybody has one.
Anything I say is not meant to anger or offend just to encourage discussion between adults.

This is a good step forward. I am impressed with this community. The location is very good, the ammenities are impressive and so far I fel good about the people I have met.

Hmmm, maybe I should rethink the quiet part...

There are a few points we would like to add 
The money from the storage rental goes directly to increasing your (and thereby our as a group’s) success. We use it to buy things that we will need if and when SHTF and some of these purchases are things that can also be used now, such as a greenhouse or ham radios, for example. …everyone is encouraged to have input. What are things we will need? What are the priorities?

It is a very interesting offer. Would there be some value to defining what you mean when you write SHTF? If I'm a renter in the city and work in the patch but lose my job during the next bust cycle, can't afford my rent any more, and for good measure am suffering from an illness or injury; has enough guano hit the fan for me to take refuge at the farm? How long should I expect to feel welcome? My point is thus - we all have different definitions for this SHTF and until it actually does it is all a bit abstract. The likelihood that an event will occur where it is widely agreed that it is time to "bug out to the farm" is far more remote than say, "my business failed and I lost everything". I'm interested in your thoughts on the matter.

Yes Antsy, you have a great point. A family is welcome if they are "down and out" for whatever reason. But if you are here you are working. No free rides. However most people want more out of life than to live in a sea can or camper, so that problem of people squatting in good times shouldn't be an issue. Also, we don't just allow anyone in, we screen very hard to avoid problems. It's not a perfect system, but we have a community of great people.
Some on here are quick to point out what they perceive as faults in what we are doing. They can do what they think is best for them, we are doing what's best for us.
Thanks for your interest

It is good to know that there are groups of people in my area beginning to coordinate and put together relationships and materials to work effectively together. We are just a little south of your approximate location.

Best of luck, and one day perhaps we will meet.

Great offering Buster! Knowing what I know now, 30 years ago I would have jumped at the opportunity. Today I wouldn't fit into your plan. Not saying it's wrong by any means.

Best of luck on prospective takers,
BTR
