I am speaking for for those if us with limited options to target practice.
Are there any of our fellow peppers out there with options on their property where we can practice at our own pace and feel comfortable.
We have tried the Homestead public range and we just did not feel safe nor comfortable there.
Thank you in advance.
It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.....
I'm wanting to have something like that to go and do my practicing and not feel like I'm in the military lol
Preparedness is like a condom , I've rather have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it
Shooting at a club range avoids LEO visits to private property if neighbours complain.

Is what you say worth at least a Canadian nickel now?
Cause two cents ain't worth squat anymore !

I took my boy shooting for the first time on Friday. We went out to the homestead range and it was completely packed and unsafe so we improvised. I've debating joing the rosebud range out there.
I never thought costco shelving could be so amazing
I joined the Trochu range (restricted is allowed) but have not been able to make it out there since the membership card arrived... between the high winds and blizzards, just no luck.
I occasionally go west of Millarville.
From Millarville head west on the 549 and you'll hit gravel a ways down. There are a few clear cuts with banks to shoot into and I have yet to run into anyone out there.
Travel time is about the same as Sibbald if you live in the south.
On a side note: I have turned off a few side roads before the public ranges at Sibbald and found some good places.
Yea I have been itching to bring out my toys to practice on my accuracy. I might just look on kijiji for farmers who let people go shoot gophers on their land.
Homestead is frightening, I try to go on weekdays in foul weather there is usually no one there. My nephew and I are hardcore into shooting rain, snow, -10c... w/e it's all good! 😎
Prefer live round practice at a range on real fire-arms but indoor practice at home with AirSoft pistols and rifle helps maintain skill too.
Saves a bit on $$$. Once a month with live ammunition at a local range, twice a week otherwise at home.

The ammunition would definitely be a savings but aren't air soft pistols and such just as expensive as the real thing or have prices come down over the years?
Much cheaper. Size is realistic to original as well as action after loading as well as handling. The only "drawback" - no pun intended - is the heft / weight of the imitation models.

I live in Brooks and use the range here. I shoot 30-06 and 223. Safe, clean and up to 300yds.
