I have been following this guy on youtube for a couple of months now, and I really enjoy his video series. I know that some people on the boards have mixed feelings about searching for info through youtube in regards to prepping, but I have found MainePreppers channel to be very informative especially as a new prepper.

This video in particular was very helpful to me. He discusses the process of a disaster in a detailed breakdown of how events progress from the "big event" whatever it may be. Ithink everyone should watch this video, but i urge new preppers to watch it as there is a section at the end of the video where he discusses neighbor and community involvement in your preps. This doesnt necesarily have to be your actual neighbors and community, but could include people such as members of your prep group etc. The southern alberta group has made great strides in coming together and forming a sense of "community".

Please watch this video. it is approximatley 35 minutes long, but is entertaining and informative. Does a good job of explaining "why we prep".

See you all after.

I have watched many of his videos. He's extremely well spoken, experienced and doesn't load his videos with all the gun-ho high testosterone crap that we usually see. I'd love to have a beer with the guy.

I like his videos too. He goes into depth, presents lots of information and good advice. He tells it like it is.
