Could someone please explain to me what kind of SHTF scenario would see this happen?
Aside from the nuclear pollution and nuclear winter a supervolcano eruption and a big rock hitting earth could be plausible extensions level events. Look here for more:

Yellowstone, campi flegrei in italy are just two of the supervolcano I can remember and I can't find the full list.

And I got banned for posting contrary opinion that was mild compared to this post, sheesh. I'm glad to see free speech is alive and well finally. As for the dog thing, why is it so easy to talk about killing people, but when it comes to the dog killing its a real dilemma?
I sense a whack of jealousy toward him and his preps. I only wish I had a bush runnin gator and some of the other things he does, but I don't. I am happy someone likes to SHOW what they have VIA photos. I can post a gray container and a tractor, but I am more than sure that would be boring or elitist to most.
I would like to see more posts where people are sharing with the rest of the peope what it is they are doing, have done and why they chose to do it that way...showing all the things you are aquiring is great to look at but does nothing to help anyone learn where to get it, how to do it what they have done, and what to do next. I joined this site looking for others to give me information and help me get better prepared, not to look at pictures of things I will never have the money to own or get into rambling talks that do nothing in the way of helping me get to where I need to be...I started threads giving information about what to do, how to do it, what purpose it serves...those sorts of things are what I am also needing...Sadly I am losing faith that this is where I need to be to learn what I need to know.
This thread seems to be attracting comments that border on trolling...made solely for the purpose of creating discord. lgsbrooks, you are right, no one is benefiting from threads such as this.
