So I'm traversing our typing and I get thirsty, so I go to the fridge and get me a nice cold hard lemonade. Then I'm walking back to the comfy chair to perch under the laptop and it hits me...
There are a lot of posts about essentials, but what about things we enjoy as a perk?
I'm not just talking about a glass of spirits, but how about a piece or two of Twizzlers, a box of chocolates or even a bag of potatoe chips.
Are we going to have art on the walls of our underground shelter?
If we do have to "BUG OUOOOOT!"... and end up being there for three years, we have to stay sane. I think that includes treats and gifts.
Others have spoke about having things for bartering and tradeing like extra ammo etc. and I am all aboard that point.
How about a good book to read or a text book to teach our kids math?

I would like to discuss your ideas for things that could be pre-planned and spread about the members of those building a community, to bring a little joy to life away from normal.

Hmmm, maybe I should rethink the quiet part...

It is important to still have comfort foods, things to enjoy , crafts, hobby, reading, spiritual, learning-basic books on plumbing, electricity, etc incase it is gone and can be brought back...I will post a recipe for making your own chocolate...women & kids love it! Kids will still need toys, coloring supplies, books, flash cards etc... here is a good video from Patriot Nurse http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=EAI_mPrhQ74

And my pooches need treats too, because they need to be happy to help us with tracking duties. The only problem will be their consumption of berries that may leave none for us! LOL
