BOB, Back packs, cargo packs....The new one today, most have riveted joints, not good. These things have a high failure rate, and they fail when you need the frames the most, like on the move.
Do yourself a big, big favor, drill out the rivets, and put in nuts and bolts with loctite (red) on them.
Also I'd advise that if the pack doesn’t have them, put on the following: Slide release buckles, ladder locks and single bar slides. These thing will make life easier and more secure for a backpacker. I've taken all the cheap metal hardware and replace them with these. Many of these you can find a CT. If your not sure of what I'm talking about, I'll leave a link that has what I'm talking about. I have never bought from this place, its just for ref:

So I've started compiling the initial list, and here is what I have so far. Please comment on things I may be missing, alternatives to things I've already listed, etc.
Buggies BOB
-------------------- Large hikers camo/earth tone hip supported backpack, external frame
- fire arm (small game rifle, henry golden boy .22lr perhaps)
- ammunition for fire armIdeally as well as my BOB, I would also have access to my sks, 1911 (once I've purchased them mid august) and ammunition as well... But assuming that I don't, this is the liust I've come up with. I plan to start putting it all together by the end of the month.
Buggie,
Might I suggest you equip that pack frame with a scabbard for either the SKS or the Henry. Better yet would be to get 2 scabbards, one for a pump 12 and the other for the Henry. Carry the SKS in your hands and put the .45 on a leg holster.
Just my 2 cents.
Mountainman.
You read my mind. Just need the .45 and the pump now. Early christmas presents to myself I think
See you all after.
Crier where can I get one of those please tell me and how much are they
Preparedness is like a condom , I've rather have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it
Crier was a bad boy and got banned....what are you looking for......
Better to have it and not need it; then to need it and not have it...
Wow what did he do just wondering where he got the vehicle from and how much

Duffman,
Send Crybaby a PM and he will most likely tell you the story of his Austrian/Swiss All-Terrain Truck. In the earlier posts on this thread he states the costs start at 10G plus getting them up to snuff to pass the vehicle importation inspection. You might have to research Customs Canada to learn more about importing a vehicle into Canada.
Of course, if Crybaby is out hunting or such, it could be a few days before he gets back to you.
Cheers,
Mountainman.
Last I heard he was down in idaho for a trophy elk
See you all after.
