I have been thinking about outdoor solar lights since Denob showed us one at the Ottawa meet this summer. I was able to find something similar at Canadian Tire this week. It's not on the website so the best I can do is describe it.

There's two huge lights in one box - it's made by Westinghouse 052-6727-2. The best part of these lights is that they contain a AA battery so you can use it to charge rechargable batteries AND/OR have indoor lighting if necessary. They are also much brighter than any solar lights I have ever bought before. They were still well lit by 4am so they lasted more than the rated 8 hours. They are made of glass and stainless steel so they are particularly well made.

Just a thought. There may be other brands like these. These ones were on clear out for $29.99.

I would still really like to find a solar battery charger that is supposed to be at CT but I have never been able to find it. Any suggestions?

Good find!
Mine were $10.00 each, but made of plastic, so sounds like you got your money's worth.
As for the solar charger...check the bins all over the store...if they have a liquidation section, look there.
This is a great time of year to find better quality solar lights at affordable prices.
Don't go for the 6 light set being liquidated for $10.00...that's crap.

I'm running a couple of outdoor motion sensor solar powered flood lights. I bought them from Princess Auto http://www.princessauto.com/pal/locator/storeLocator.jsp for $30 each. I have one about a year old and the other is about a month old, both work well. They use NIMH rechargeable batteries.

Good luck!
