Well woke up this morning to a foot and a half of water in the basement.
You can imagine the first words out of my mouth.
The good news is I didn't lose much of my preps.
I keep every thing in 64 liter Rough neck totes.
Only one was affected because most likely one of my grand kids looked in the tote and forgot to put the lid on.
Most of that stuff just needed a rinse off. the other twenty or so totes came thru unscathed.
Moral of this story lock the store room door all the time and put your preps in water proof containers.
Cheers

Sorry to hear about your misfortune Grumpy Bear. At least you had the forethought of protecting your stuff and it seemed to have paid off.

Curious to hear what caused the flood in your basement though.

Best of luck with cleaning the mess.

Oh no. Good reminder why it is good to take the time to put in totes 🙂
