Who the hell shit in your pipe, I use to live in Angus, just out side of Borden, and I am just saying that...well that I hate to hear about people with explosives any where near Military bases. I was in some bases during times of high alert, and I will tell you it is no fun. Especially since I am ex-Combat Engineer, and I do KNOW what can be made with a few BOMB's and Chemicals. I have been aware for 20 friggin years. “””WOW! How f...n errogant can you get.’’’ And where am I / We being arrogant. A simple statement and You, go flying off the handle like it was electrified. Or is it that the gatekeeper that you were talking about was yourself, and my statement was hitting a little close to home.

Don’t go attacking any one here unless you don’t mind being broadsided yourself.

I'm somewhat confused here...
Waterborne, are you suggesting that most of our members are whackjobs running around the woods with AK-47's?
And just how do we do big circles around prepping versus extremism?
I really don't understand what you mean by this.

Ranger, the thought of a bomb stash so close to a military base raises concerns on so many levels...
Was there an intention to bomb the base?
Were the materials used somehow procured from the base?
If so, how did they get off the base and into the hands of this guy.

As far as being a prepper, I think the fact that he had a stash of pipe bombs would preclude him from that group...that's just not what preppers do.
Yes, there are similarities such as a stockpile of food and clothing, but someone who is out to use pipe bombs on a target then escape law enforcement would have the same provisions. If this guy would claim to be a perpper, I think that most, if not all members of this forum would denounce him straight away.

I think what it really comes down to is that there are extremes in all types of groups of people. I will grudgingly admit that they are preppers but they are also bad people. How many people on this forum would actually be prepared to commit pre meditated murder? How many of you would stockpile explosives ready to use? Unfortunately there are always going to be a small percentage of people labeled as preppers that will go to the extreme like these people and they will put us in a bad light to the rest of the world. All we can do is try to show people that we are not like this. that we are more about sustaining community living after the shit hits the fan than being militant freaks looking for a fight

Although I have been here a while now I still consider myself "new". I have to say I am finding the level of manners, civility and respect here dimished in recent times. Time was, dicussions, even with differences of opinion, were conducted with great respect and an understanding and acceptance of everyone to have their own views. Lately some of the newer members are quite "opinionated" and their posts come across as rude, angry, arrogant and quite confrontational. This is a forum of cooperation and support... a sharing of information, opinion and knowledge. IF you can't participate in that spirit with other members then perhaps you should develop your own forum. You are not welcome here. Bluster and bullying will get you no where in real life. It is I am sure, easier here, since for the most part you are anonymous and can hide behind your screen. For those that I am talking about if this behavior is your normal I definitely feel sorry for you and those around you. In a SHTF situation you will NOT be accepted anywhere by anyone. If you are, then I am sure that group will be one all us "gnomes" will be defending against. Take your behavior somewhere else. You aren't wanted here.

Did these guys get the explosives from the base? I don’t know unless it was High explosives like C4. Then again I don’t know. Is it possible to make this stuff in your kitchen, most defiantly, YES. These guys were not Preppers but extreme survivalist, in the lest, or even could have been suppliers to the various “biker‘s” that waterborne mentioned. Nobody has this much sh!t without an agenda. As far as all the food, they were on the run for a long time, if they have to “hole up” then trips to the local market is out.

Ranger I share your concern about proximity of highly unstable individuals close to military bases. I am fairly sure it was not a military grade explosive like C4 or they would not have to make the pipe bomb type containment. Last night CTV news described them as survivalists. However to my mind ANYONE who builds bombs or worse still stores them is a terrorist or want to be terrorist. Denob, quite rightly, questioned their intent. You don't build a bomb unless you have a plan to use them.

Waterborne I am sure that you feel very passionate about this topic. I have read your post a couple of times but I still do not understand the point you were trying to make. I can see your frustration and I am guessing that you did not intentionally want to insult anyone. Could you clarify your position for us?

Build A Bear get a job before you tell me what to do on this post. Secondly, Ranger, the way you stated and puntuated it was as if you were about to imply something and attack the MIlitary and its personnel as many have done on this Portal for quite some time. Your right Build a Bomb, I will move on but I have something you will probably never have....A JOB!! Take care, Im sick of reading you losers and your round and around form of nothingness conversation. A Dios'

Sorry about this folks, but waterborne had already been posting information on bomb building and with the recent rude behavior, he left no choice but to ban him.
I will not allow members such as this drag the prepper mindset through the mud.
Please, let's continue the conversation like the adults we all are.
Justabear and Ranger, you have my personal apology for the comments that were made.

Denob I thank you for the kind words and support. You definitely have nothing to apologize for though. IF there is a Government troll monitoring this site then I would suggest that waterborne would bear a little scrutiny. Perhaps a LOT of scrutiny.

Please do not take any responsibility for the actions of others. You opened a topic and it is for each person to act and "speak" resonably and following basic rules of decorum. Some just aren't meant to play with adults. I have never found you to be anything but civil and respectful. We all at some point push a little too hard with things that are important to us. It is called passion. If we cross a line and are called on it we respond in an adult way. That is as it should be.
