Not purchased but have stayed in them, quality product.

Kijiji.ca.. picked up 3 Large Canvas tents for the total price of $75 so the deals are out there. No they are not 4 season, but I will make two of them into 4 season tents!
internal frames add in a smoke hole and put Durofoam/Plastifab inside with metal tape, instant 4 season. O course then you add in another layer like the parachute inside layer, or find some silk/satin and create an internal pocket of warm air before the reflecting Durofoam sheets.

ps to T11 - proven fact, proven skill set, have done this already !

All this chatter about canvas!!!! I can still smell it .......40 years later. With flashbacks of my father yelling at my sister and I not to touch the sides in a pouring rainstorm. Slept in many a puddle not listening to ol Dad. Was safer to say I wet myself..... HAHA.

Preppersaurus,

Hahaha, great tale!! We had an old Sears tent trailer - soft top, of course. Your story brings back similar stories of my old man telling us the same thing. Nothing like moving the foamies apart so the water won't get the sleeping bags wet and then trying to push the puddle toward the edge so it will drain outside. Hhaha. Good times, looking back.

Damn, got to hate it when the old guy was right. Now I am telling my kid to keep the fingers of the canvas of the wall tent.

Cheers,

Mountainman.

Don't forget to put new water repellent on it every year. Get a portable sprayer and use the bulk liquid, cheaper than spray cans.
