Evening,
I'm new to the prepper lifestyle and was interested in getting together with some like-minded individuals nearby. I currently live in Mission.
I was pleased to come across this thread, and can most likely make the meet in the 'Wack on Jan. 5.
In terms of my skills, I have a wide variety of general construction skills and some mechanical repair knowledge, but am generally good with my hands. I have more than 10 years of first responder level 3 training, used regularly. There are many other aptitudes I could contribute, but it's difficult for me to want to list them all without sounding like I'm bragging or trying to score a date. 😉
I look forward to meeting you.

First of all, YES, I will be attending, along with my wife. We have tried to make it to other meetings in the area, but work stepped in, and, changed the plans. This time, I have the day off, the phone is off, and we will be off to see the preppers.

Our history? Well, it was in the paper. We are not closet preppers, we believe in getting the word out about being self sufficient. After spending time in the Florida Keys watching the scramble at the local grocery stores and Home Depots, we started prepping for hurricanes there. Even our cat had a 4 month supply of food.... Just In Case. We believe in building a solid group of people who will support each other, share ideas and actually help when help is needed. It sounds like Chevy55 and myself have the same philosophy regarding doomsday. My wife and I prep in case of a lost job, or earthquake, not zombies, or an invasion from WheretheheckisStan. Our background is in manufacturing, photography, scuba, and textiles,. I owned a prototyping company in Ontario for years. Specializing in making master models and prototypes for headlights and taillights for cars, among other protos. So I know my way around wood, plastics, fibreglass, and metal. My wife does the canning, dehydrating, MREs, gardening, water containment, and some electrical and plumbing too (I do the laundry).

I would love to see these meetings expand, but we have to start somewhere. Tim Horton's seems like the best place to start. Who knows where it will lead if we become organized, and share resources.

A

I know there are three Timmies along Vedder. What's the street address?
Thanks!

My wife and I will be there for sure. I'll be in a black ball cap, and brown puffy ' Michelin Man' style jacket. Hopefully I won't have PREPPER tattooed to my forehead. I believe the address is 6014 Vedder Rd. Get off Hwy #1 at Vedder (Exit 119) go right. Keep going until you see the Timmy's on the left, at Promontory. I hope that is correct. If not, I'll still be there for a timbit or two.

Cool, thanks! We'll see you there. 🙂
I'm wearing a black hoodie, and the wife has blond hair with a red streak in it.
See everyone soon. 🙂
