Not sure if this is the place to put this...if not the right place, please move.
I was checking out the National Geographic page, http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/american-blackout/?gclid=CPmy6NGLmboCFSJqMgodBUMADg , about the movie they are going to be running on Oct 27 9PM about blackouts.
Scrolled right down the page and came across another link to a diary of this woman's plight in the 10 day blackout.
Thought I would post it here for others to read. Very interesting and also shows how fast things can fall apart within a small time frame.
Most of all, thanks to her and her diary, it makes you really think.
She took pictures as well and inserted in the pages that she wrote.
I will say no more as I don't want to spoil it for others that want to read.
A sense of humor is absolutely essential to survival.
It says the diary is a fictional account.

That had me puzzled too as they repeatedly asked if the reader(s) know this/these ppl, to let them know.
Perhaps it was a typo?

It appears to be a fabricated promotion for the National Geographic show on blackouts. Not that it is significant, just my my own curiousity about the programming on National Geographic channel, as I recall traces back through corporate umbrellas to being under the Rupert Murdoch media .
I won't believe any "one" thing from TV anymore.
Plus, I am not about to trust Nat' Geo especially when you look at their "Doomsday Prepper" tv show. Look at how the show portrays preppers and I'm certain that a lot of what was filmed was edited and then broadcast out of context.
