I have to truly admire our American Brothers south of the border. When they are wronged, they are slow to wake up, but when they do..... Watch Out. Whatever your views are on gun politics, one thing has to be said about the American People, gun owners, I mean specifically, they do not sit idly by waiting for politicians to steamroll their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. To counteract the politicians cramming restrictive legislation down their collective throats (just like our long gun registry had been done to law biding Canadian gun owners), the firearms businesses are now refusing to sell their wares to law enforcement and government agencies where these laws are being imposed. This is the fast growing list of businesses so far:

3 Rivers Precision

Awesome! No ammo manufacturers jumping in? I know the American goverments buying up alot of main stream calibers. (223/5.56x45, 308/7.62x51, 9mm, 40 and 45 auto). I have read of firearm/ammo manufacture companys jumping out of states that are now creating strciter firearm laws (good on em! move to a firearm friendly state)! However never herd companys avoiding goverment sales that is good news! Thanks for the read.

Can this be called the "Line in The Sand"? Seems to me George W. Bush said it after 9/11.. "You are either with us, or against us".

I read your link, Preppersaurus. I'm uncertain whether he's nuts or just sick and tired of what he sees around him.

I think he put on paper (digitally that is) what many people are thinking. Are the police, friends? or enemies? Look at our own High River Gun Grab. People were prevented from going to their homes, while the police kick in 1800 doors, to search for firearms. Even houses that weren't affected by the flood. There is far too much proof that totally contradicts the RCMPs statements that they only took firearms that were left out in the open. They also stole tons of ammunition, again much of which was safely out of the reach of the water. I think a Mr. White had his house searched 3 times before they found all his guns (interesting that they knew when to stop, since the gun registry has been destroyed). Ok, with THAT said, when the next flood occurs, do you think High River people will trust the police again? As Canadians we have to be the most naive and trusting people on the planet. Our brothers south of the line are different. "From My Cold Dead Hands' isn't just a statement for many gun owners over there. It is a philosophy, a God given RIGHT, to keep their arms. They are not naive. Many may bury their heads in the sand, but when it comes to tugging on their 2nd Ammendment right to keep and bear arms, you might as well be kicking them in the ass. Cause you are getting their attention. And when you wake that giant, it is slow to get going, but the momentum will be staggering.

What will happen when Officer Bob, who lives down the street from you, comes to your door and tries to take your guns, for no reason, other than being told to do so, knowing it is breaching your rights. Mr. Gun owner may give them up with or without a fight. But would Officer Bob's house be there tomorrow?

I hate to say this but

"What will happen when Officer Bob, who lives down the street from you, comes to your door and tries to take your guns, for no reason, other than being told to do so, knowing it is breaching your rights. Mr. Gun owner may give them up with or without a fight. But would Officer Bob's house be there tomorrow?"

Nothing will happen. It's been shown with the Lieberals gun program. The government said re-license up, register everything and almost everyone did. Who can blame them really? Nobody wants to be the first example, right? But there was a small few that did dispute and buck the system and in some cases they suffered for it. And by and large, the majority of gun-owners - including those that disagreed with the system to begin with - allowed it to be done to them.

Those that refused to comply were charged. They suffered defending themselves. They suffered loss of their property. Almost all of us clucked and watched, but we allowed it. We didn't support them by financial means in their defence. I speak truthfully when I say I did give some, but I didn't give enough. We should have gave like it was happening to us because it was. We also didn't show up at the court cases and show our support and make our opposition known. We all had other stuff to attend to. Jobs, family, or whatever. Could we claim that to be our reason if it was us fighting charges or loss? Nope.

When Officer Bob shows up, with Officer Steve and Jack and Don and 40 others, the large majority of us will bitch about it and then we'll hand them over. We may call our lawyer even. But in that event we'll just bend over. And there'll be a very small number that won't....and they'll be left hanging on their own sadly. People in this country don't get pissed off enough over rights - or privileges that should be rights - or really anything. We are too tapped working our bloody arses off, paying the taxes and bills and quite frankly because there are many that don't want to be 'that guy'.

We are getting it the way we get it. Not enough of us can be bothered to vote (where I live voter turnout is like 37%...and it's mostly NDP that show up to do it). Hardly any of us can articulate a position on any issue. And in general we are out-gunned by highly trained people who are able to sway public opinions, by feeding on those people's feelings at public hearings and town meetings.

It's a bleak view, I know it. I believe strongly in the fight and I'm willing to risk...but I'm not willing to put my arse on the line while everyone else watches me do it. Kills me a little inside.

Almost everyone DIDN"T register in Connecticut. What do you suppose they are going to do with those guns? And those who started to register, are the ones who are being targeted first, since they have some of the information to go on.

Didn't see "Officer Bob's" address in there but I did see a whole lot of other ones.
